Alex Edwards

Hi, I'm Alex Edwards. I'm a software developer and author specializing in Go. I live in the mountains near Innsbruck, Austria.

Previously I’ve worked for the British Government as the project manager for police.uk and data.police.uk. I've also built a couple of and enjoy continuing to work on those.

I generally work with Go, Ruby, Git and Linux and write a lot about building web applications. You can take a look at my open-source code on Github.

I'm currently available for short-term consultancy projects.

Book

Last year I published Let’s Go, a book about how to build production-ready web applications with Go.

The book guides you through the start-to-finish build of a complete working application — covering topics like how to structure your code, manage dependencies, create dynamic database-driven pages, and how to authenticate and authorize users securely.

You can see the complete table of contents and buy the book at lets-go.alexedwards.net.
