Alex Edwards

Hi, I'm Alex Edwards. I'm a software developer and author specializing in Go. I live in the mountains near Innsbruck, Austria.

Previously I’ve worked for the British Government as the technical lead for and I've also built a couple of and enjoy continuing to work on those.

I generally work with Go, Ruby, Git and Linux and write a lot about building web applications. You can take a look at my open-source code on Github.

I'm currently available for short-term consultancy projects.

Last year I published Let’s Go, a book about how to build production-ready web applications with Go.

The book guides you through the start-to-finish build of a complete working application — covering topics like how to structure your code, manage dependencies, create dynamic database-driven pages, and how to authenticate and authorize users securely.

You can see the complete table of contents and buy the book at

If you’ve got any questions, suggestions or would like to discuss a project then email me at I’d be happy to hear from you.

You can also find me on Instagram, Github and Twitter.
